The problem
What we found
Damp patches appearing on an upstairs bedroom wall after every spell of driving rain. The west-facing gable had cracked cement render and open pointing above it.
The solution
What we did
Loose render removed, brickwork repointed in a matching mortar, gable re-rendered in a breathable system and treated with a breathable water repellent. Internally, damaged plaster removed and the wall re-skimmed once dry.
